The OnePlus 11 is a powerful phone, but the design isn’t what you’d call exciting. Now, the company has unveiled a version called the OnePlus 11 Concept designed to counter that narrative with… lots of LED lights. The “backward flow” features a meandering flow-type LED lighting pattern with a ring around the camera module, along with a one-piece glass design. It will be revealed on February 27 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona, OnePlus announced.
With the design, OnePlus is taking a PC-like approach to gaming with the use of LED lighting. That’s reasonable considering the OnePlus 11 is one of the best gaming phones around, with features like a 120Hz display, blazing-fast 100W charging, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

OnePlus has made special edition phones before, including Star Wars and Pac-Man themed devices. However, this appears to be the first with external LED lighting that takes a page from the transparent, illuminated back of the Nothing Phone 1. It also borrows a bit from the OnePlus 8T concept that used a color-changing back.
In case you need a reason for the lighting, the company says it’s to “showcase the OnePlus 11 Concept’s engineering advances by highlighting the ice-blue piping that runs the entire length of the back of the phone, almost as if the OnePlus 11 Concept had its own.” own series”. of the blood vessels”.
It’s unclear if it’s called the “Concept” because it’s a unique concept product, or if that’s the name of a special-edition phone that’s going on sale. If it is the latter, it would certainly stand out from other smartphones. In any case, we should get more information when it’s released on February 27 at 3pm ET.
