Google's upcoming Pixel Buds Pro 2 could come with a new “Tensor A1” chip that powers “twice the active noise cancellation” (ANC), according to leaked specs published x.com/MysteryLupin/status/1822975121088295070?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1822975121088295070%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=about%3Asrcdoc”>by @MysteryLupin and Seen by 9to5GoogleIf true, this will mark the first time Google has expanded its in-house Tensor processor from its phones to its headsets.
The post suggests the Pixel Buds Pro 2 could offer up to 30 hours of audio playback with the case on (or up to eight hours without it), but it’s not clear if that’s with active noise cancellation on or off. The original Pixel Buds Pro offered up to 31 hours of listening time with the case on and active noise cancellation off (or up to 11 hours without it).
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are also rumored to have conversation detection (a feature Google implemented on the original Pixel Buds Pro last year) along with the ability to “seamlessly connect” to your Pixel Watch, tablet, and phone.
This new leak comes just a day before Google reveals the Pixel Buds Pro 2, the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. So far, leaked images have shown a colorful line of Pixel Buds Pro 2 with smaller wingtips reminiscent of the first Pixel Buds, as well as an updated charging case that appears to come with a speaker.
