Klarna will harness the best technology and data to help people discover new products.
Payment and shopping service Klarna may be the latest company to partner with OpenAI to use ChatGPT. According to a recent advertisement By the firm, the ChatGPT plugin has now been integrated and will serve as a personal shopping assistant for Klarna users, ushering in a new era of personalized shopping experience. In other words, users can now ask Klarna for buying advice or product recommendations, and even receive links to buy their favorite products.
ChatGPT brings value to everyone, says Klarna CEO
Meanwhile, Klarna co-founder and CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski praised the integration of the ChatGPT plugin. In his statement, he expressed his enthusiasm for its ease of use, citing that it has passed the ‘mom test’. Meaning, the supplement is so easy to understand that even your mom will have no problem benefiting from it. The CEO said in part:
“It’s easy to use and really solves a lot of problems – it creates tremendous value for everyone.”
Furthermore, the CEO added that the ChatGPT plugin puts Klarna in a unique place where it can leverage the best technology and data to help people discover new products. On top of this, Klarna now also excels at solving problems for consumers at every stage of their shopping journey.
How does it work
Users need to install the Klarna plugin from the ChatGPT plugin store and then they can request ChatGPT shopping ideas. Once this is done, those users will receive product recommendations. However, a user can provide further prompts if necessary, in order to receive additional recommendations, the press release says.
In the meantime, the plugin will initially roll out to ChatGPT Plus subscribers in the United States and Canada only. However, the rollout will eventually roll out to more users and regions around the world, according to the statement.
Without a doubt, OpenAI’s ChatGPT system is quickly becoming a worldwide sensation. Since its launch about four months ago, many companies have been getting used to the consumer-focused artificial intelligence (AI) tool. One such company is the online payment and processing platform Stripe.
Last week, OpenAI and Stripe announced that they will partner on some projects. The partnership will see OpenAI use Stripe’s financial infrastructure platform to monetize its products. And on the other hand, it will help Stripe integrate OpenAI’s generative AI technology into its products and services.
