Warner Bros. from Player First Games, the developer behind the popular This makes a lot of sense since the hit Smash Bros.-style fighting game. from WB Properties. The game features characters such as Batman, Bugs Bunny, Agent Smith from Matrix and, of course, both Rick and Morty.
The day-to-day operations of Player First Games don't appear to be changing much. Co-founders Tony Huynh and Chris White will continue to run the company, though both will report to Carlos Barbosa, vice president and studio head of Warner Bros. Games.
Huynh says the team is excited about the acquisition and that it should “be great for MultiVersus Overall.” There’s no announcement as to what’s next for the fighting game. Player First is on the list, though, so this is likely to continue. I, for one, would like to beat Tom and Jerry as Tony Soprano. Make it happen, WB.
MultiVersus It’s out now on nearly every platform, including PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series x/S, and PC. Even better? There’s cross-play between platforms. The game isn’t available on Nintendo Switch yet, but maybe that will change when the game launches.
