Verizon will soon offer customers a cheaper way to subscribe to Netflix and Max. Starting December 7, myPlan customers can get a combined subscription to both services for just $10 a month.
The bundle includes ad-supported plans for Netflix and Max, each priced at $6.99 and $9.99 per month, respectively. That means the Verizon bundle costs about $7 less than you'd pay for the two separate subscriptions, in line with rumors we heard about the deal last month. It's a decent deal if you're already a Verizon customer, as there's currently no other bundle for Netflix and Max.
You can only take advantage of the offer if you are a Verizon myPlan customer. The service includes three unlimited plans that cost (for one line and no discounts): $100/mo for Unlimited Ultimate, $90/mo for Unlimited Plus, and $75/mo for Unlimited Welcome. However, those prices don't include the $10 a month add-ons that Verizon lets you choose from, like a Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus streaming package, an Apple One subscription, a Walmart Plus membership, and now, a subscription to Netflix. and maximum subscription.
In other words, if you subscribed to both the Disney Plus package and the Netflix/Max package through Verizon, that means you'd pay about $20 per month for the full package of services.
While streaming rivals like Netflix and Max don't typically offer bundles together, it makes sense as viewers look for cheaper ways to stream and eliminate unused subscriptions amid relentless price increases. Netflix and Max may also not be the only two competitors looking to offer a bundle, as rumors suggest Apple TV Plus and Paramount Plus could also offer a discounted bundle.
