Riot's tactical shooter Valuing has been exclusive to PC since its release in 2020, but that will change very soon. The developer has finally provided some details about the console version of the game, which will be available in a limited beta on PS5 and Xbox Series x/S starting June 14. You can register right here. The beta will be limited to the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, and Japan, and Riot says it will “possibly roll out to the remaining regions of the world shortly afterward.” It is unknown when a full release might occur.
Riot says that the console versions of Valuing They will include “custom gameplay” and cross-play between console and PC will not be available for competitive reasons. That said, the game will support cross-progression if you choose to play on both PC and console, meaning your skins and progression will carry over between platforms.
“We were convinced that Valorant's Core, competitive gameplay should feel natural on a controller,” production director Arnar Hrafn Gylfason said in a statement. “And, if we couldn't fulfill that promise of the game, we had to be prepared to abandon it. We hope to have achieved this, but in the end, our players will have the last word.”
