The New York Times reports that, along with concerns about some of the guests booked to be at The problem with Jon Stewart, Stewart’s planned discussions about artificial intelligence and China were a major concern for Apple. Although new episodes of the show were scheduled to begin filming in a few weeks, the staff learned today that production had stopped.
According The Hollywood Reporterbefore his decision to end The problem, Apple reached out to Stewart directly and expressed its need for the host and his team to be “aligned” with the company’s views on the topics discussed. Instead of standing in line when Apple threatened to cancel the program, Stewart reportedly decided to walk.
