The Nintendo Switch OLED launched in 2021 as a minor upgrade to the original 2017 model. We gave it an 89 in our review thanks to improvements like its 7-inch OLED display, which grew from 6.2 inches. It also boasts better battery life, with improved efficiency extending its lifespan to around seven hours instead of four or five. Plus, its stand makes tabletop mode easier to use.

The big caveat here is that the Nintendo Switch 2 should —emphasis on ought — It's coming out soon. Rumors about the second-generation console have been circulating for years, but multiple signs point to an announcement before the end of the month. This is all speculation, of course, so it's your choice whether you take this offer or wait and see what Nintendo can do.
