Apple says it is testing a new App Store feature called contingent pricing to entice customers into cheaper subscriptions based on their other purchases. This contingent pricing model will allow developers to offer discounts to customers who already have subscriptions to other services, whether those developers' own apps or connected partner apps.
According 9to5Mac, Apple says these combined discounts will be highly visible to customers both in the App Store and “in off-platform marketing channels,” and elsewhere as well. It will start with a select group of participants before rolling out to more developers “in the coming months.”
It's been a year of increased scrutiny over Apple's App Store and how it handles in-app purchases. Just this fall, Apple asked the Supreme Court to overturn a previous ruling that required it to allow developers to use third-party payment systems, circumventing Apple's 30 percent transaction fee. This is kind of a way to get developers to like you again.

Baldur's Gate 3 will never come to Xbox Game Pass
So says developer Larian Studios.
According to Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke in an interview with IGN, Game of the Year, Baldur's Gate 3, It will not come to Microsoft Game Pass. Vincke also noted that this was always the plan and that the title had never been considered for Microsoft's subscription gaming platform. Vincke says Baldur's Gate 3 It's a “great game” available at a “fair price.” He also highlighted the title's lack of microtransactions and its entire story, saying “you get what you pay for.”

Meta Quest users can now write reports, edit spreadsheets and create presentations, if they wish. want to perform any of those tasks in a virtual reality headset. Support for the basic Microsoft Office suite came to the original Oculus Quest, Meta Quest 2, Quest Pro, and Quest 3. Users can now download Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint from the Meta Quest store for free. That said, typing on the Quest's on-screen keyboard isn't particularly easy, so you might want to bring your Bluetooth keyboard during virtual office hours.

The Chinese electric vehicle with 650 miles of autonomy

Chinese manufacturer Nio is about to start selling an electric vehicle with a 150 kWh (140 kWh usable) “semi-solid state” battery. That's the largest battery of any electric passenger vehicle yet. Nio CEO William Li drove a prototype version of the ET7 1,044 km (650 miles) in 14 hours, a distance that beats many gasoline-powered vehicles. The ET7's 150 kWh battery will only be available on a car-independent lease basis, as we've seen with some cars sold in Europe. However, it's unlikely we'll see this specific battery pack in the U.S. Under the Biden administration's latest rules, some U.S. cars, like Tesla's Long Range Model 3, that use specific Chinese battery components already They will not receive the full $7,500 tax credit.
