Tesla has stopped selling the $60,990 RWD Cybertruck, the cheapest version of its angular electric truck. Jalopnik writesAt the same time, the company raised the price of the Cybertruck AWD, the next in line, by $20,000. Now at $99,990, it raises the EV's minimum price by a whopping $39,000.
The Cyberbeast — the three-motor version of the truck with more torque and a higher top speed than the standard all-wheel-drive EV — is also more expensive at $119,990 (up from $99,990 before Aug. 6). The updated pricing is especially grim considering Tesla had said in 2019 that the Cybertruck would start at $39,990.
On the plus side, the company has increased delivery times. Tesla estimates it can deliver all-wheel-drive Cybertrucks to customers between August and September 2024, while it cites October to December 2024 for the Cyberbeast. Previously, orders were set for deliveries in 2025. as featured on the Internet Archive earlier this month.
