The Chinese branch of Tesla announced in a WeChat Post On Sunday morning it launched a new Model Y with design and performance tweaks that maintains the same starting price as before (through Reuters). The new car follows the company’s launch of the facelifted Model 3 “Highland” in China, which also arrived in Europe early last month.
According to Tesla chinese websiteThe Model Y now has a 0-100 km/h time of 5.9 seconds, which Bloomberg notes in a report It’s a little faster than before. The car has new wheels and an ambient LED lighting strip on the dashboard, like the facelifted Model 3.
The car starts at 263,900 yuan (about $37,000), and the company offers both long-range versions for 299,900 yuan (about $42,000). and a high-performance version for 349,900 yuan (about $49,000).
