Capsule racing, business negotiations and Darth Maul will be on the big screen once again when Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace returns to theaters on May 3, 2024. The return is intended to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1999 film. reports Empire.
The return to theaters comes during a revival of this part of the long-running franchise. In recent years, Disney has given the go-ahead to the prequel era with series like Ahsoka, Obi Wan Kenobi and The bad lot. Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker in the second and third films, said Empire In an interview that your experience with Star Wars has been “very comforting” and that the response they receive today “feels like a vindication of the work we did.”
Disney and Lucasfilm also hired poster artist Matt Furgeson to create a new poster for the films.
