Star Trek: PicardThe latest season of Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) reunites with some of his USS Enterprise crewmates, including Worf (Michael Dorn), William Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), Beverly Crusher ( Gates McFadden), and Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis) as they face a new enemy, Vadic (Amanda Plummer).
The season premiere, aptly titled “The Next Generation,” debuted on Paramount Plus last week, with the streamer adding new episodes every Thursday. In a review of the first six episodes of the show, the edgeManaging editor Alex Cranz calls the show a “very funny sequel to Star Trek: The Next Generation:”
While this season puts its characters in terrible places, and there are rumors that some will die at the end of the season, this wild ride has a real and genuine affection for all players. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had watching the myriad of Paramount Plus’ star trek shows. And part of my love for this final season comes from how excited the show is to take some of star trekThe most flawless heroes and find the humanity in them.
You’ll have to pay for a Paramount Plus subscription if you want to watch the rest of the episodes, and unfortunately, the streamer plans to increase its prices soon. Paramount also doesn’t specify how long the episode will be available, so if you’ve been debating whether to go back to star trekNow seems like a good time to do it.
