If the events of the past few years have seemed as if a higher power were at work… Mad Libs with our lives, then it seems like he’s running out of options. “SpaceX,” you imagine him saying, “is being sued by…” and then the sound of paper rustling until he says, “Cards Against Humanity.” It turns out that the game’s prankster fools own an acre of land near SpaceX’s Texas facility, which the latter has been using for its own purposes.
The suit says the once-pristine land has been turned into a parking and staging area for nearby construction sites. It seeks $15 million in damages for trespass and damages. If successful, it says it will share the proceeds with the crowdfunding backers who paid to buy the land.
If the higher power in question wants help with some suggestions, it could do worse than suggest that the humble writers of Engadget's newsletter each win a billion pounds on the same day in completely different competitions.

OpenAI is reportedly ditching its increasingly recognizable hexagonal flower logo in favor of something a little more sinister. At the same time, a new profile of Sir Jonathan Ive reveals that the long-rumored partnership between him and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is real. Let’s hope it fares better than Humane Pin, the latest ai hardware tool created by a storied designer who has Apple on his resume.
