The PS VR2, which debuted in early 2023, is a great value. We gave it a score of 84. The two 2K HDR OLED displays are fabulous, offering an effective 4K resolution. It’s comfortable to use for extended periods, while eye tracking and haptic feedback are welcome inclusions.

The PlayStation VR2 is now discounted from $205, which is now $345, its lowest price yet. The discount comes just before Sony enables PC compatibility for the headset.

There are, however, some major drawbacks. Games from the original PS VR, unless the developer has ported them over. The current library of PS VR2 titles is also small, and Sony hasn't announced any future first-party titles for the headset. That said, the company has gotten started without any additional costs. And now there's another reason the headset is starting to look more appealing, especially at this price point.
In August, Sony will release . That will open up a much wider range of experiences for PS VR2 owners who also have a gaming-capable PC. The PC adapter will cost $60, and some features, like haptic feedback and HDR, won't work. However, if you can stomach the trade-offs, thousands of Steam VR games (including ) wait.
