The first season of amazon The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power The series took its time revealing the true identities of its two most mysterious characters. But when the show returns next month, it looks like it's going to go all out, with big revelations about how Sauron and the Stranger will change Middle-earth. A lengthy new trailer revealed at Comic-Con gives a good idea of what fans can expect in Season 2.
According to amazon, the new season will focus on the return of Sauron. “Expelled by Galadriel, with neither army nor ally, the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his own cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power, which will allow him to bind all the peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will,” the streamer explains. It sounds like this season will also be a good one for fans of fantasy monsters – characters like the giant spider Shelob, the shape-shifting Barrow-wights, and a sea worm will all make appearances.
Season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power coming to amazon Prime Video on August 29.
