Samsung has announced that it will hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET on January 22 in San Jose, California. Samsung will broadcast the event on YouTubeis websiteand his writing page. According to its invitation, the company is preparing to unveil its upcoming Galaxy S devices, along with new Galaxy ai features.
Rumors have suggested that Samsung's next phones will include a redesigned Galaxy S25 Ultra with more rounded corners, bringing it visually in line with its lower-tier phones while still maintaining standout features like the Galaxy S Pen. There are also rumors that a “Slim” Galaxy phone is in the works, although it is not expected until the end of the year.
Finally, the rumor mill suggests that Samsung is adding Qi2 wireless charging to the Galaxy S25 line, but it wouldn't put magnets in the phones, instead using magnetic cases. Earlier Monday, the Wireless Power Consortium cited Samsung as saying it will support Qi 2 with new Galaxy devices this year while introducing “Qi2 Ready,” a special certification for phones that need a magnetic case to fully support the standard.
If you know you're upgrading to some version of the Galaxy S25 phone, the company is offering $50 credits if you reserve a spot in line to reserve it.
