It’s a bit of a slow week for tech deals, but we’ve still found some great prices on devices and gear we like. For example, Samsung Galaxy Watch 5our preferred smartwatch for Android users, is down to a new low of $220, while Apple iPad Air is $99 off its MSRP to $500. sony is running a sale on exclusive PS5 and PS4 games, and a handful of recommended SSDs and microSD cards are down to their best prices yet. Here are the best tech deals this week that you can still grab today.
Samsung Galaxy 5 Watch
The 40mm version of Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 It’s on sale for $220, which is only about $10 to $15 less than its typical asking price in recent months, but still an all-time low. We gave the Galaxy Watch 5 a review score of 85 last year, and it’s currently the “best for Android users” pick in our guide to the best smartwatches. Battery life could be better, but we appreciate its durable, minimalist design, sharp display, and health-tracking ability. Samsung’s One UI interface is also fairly easy to navigate, and the company says it will support the watch with software updates until 2026.
Sale of own PlayStation 5 games
Sony has launched a sale on several of its own PS5 and PS4 games. Discounts are available at various retailers, including Amazon, walmart, game stop, Best Buy and those of sony playstation direct trade. Among the highlights, the racing simulator Gran Turismo 7 It’s down to $40, which is $5 above its all-time low, but it’s still a $30 discount for those looking to try out their new AI opponents or VR support. (PS4 version is up to $30.) The new PS5 version of The last of us is $20 off for those who enjoy its television adaptation, while both the ps4 original remaster and the brutal sequel they are available for $10.
Beyond that, the lush open world game Forbidden Horizon West has dropped to a minimum of $40 (or $30 for the PS4 copy, which includes a free PS5 upgrade). The friendly action game Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apartthe haunting roguelike return and the classic remade for PS3 demon souls they are each $30; Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and the remastered dual pack Uncharted Collection: Legacy of Thieves they are down to $20; and both God of War and the idiosyncrasies death stranding they are available for $10. There are more deals than those, but either way, Sony says this sale will run until March 5th.
Anker 715 charger
Anker Charger 715 it’s a 65W USB-C charger with a very compact design that should be suitable for travel. It only has one port, but it packs enough power to charge most phones, tablets, and even some laptops at full speed. The device is back down to $35 on Amazon, which is a price we’ve seen several times before, but it’s still $15 below the typical charger rate. This offer is also available on Anker’s online storebut you will need to use the code WS7DOUANO in the box there.
Samsung Evo Select microSD card
Samsung Evo Select it’s a U3, V30 rating microSD card that should be fast enough for 4K video on a GoPro or game storage on a Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck. It’s also backed by a 10-year limited warranty. He 128GB and 512GB the card versions are still available for $13.49 and $45, respectively, both of which match the lowest prices we’ve tracked.
SSD Samsung 980 Pro
In other Samsung storage offerings, the company’s 1TB version SSD 980 Pro it’s available for an all-time low of $100. That’s about $20 below the current average rate for the unit in recent months. If you need more space, the 2TB model it’s also on sale for as low as $160. Not everyone needs to pay for a high-performance NVMe 4.0 drive like this, but for higher-performance builds or expanding the storage of a PlayStation 5, it’ll do just fine. If you buy a PS5, just make sure you pair the unit with a heat sink first. (You can also purchase a version of this SSD with integrated heatsink for $10 to $20 more depending on the capacity you need). You will also want to make sure the firmware of the SSD is up to date: multiple users have reported higher than usual failure rates with specific Samsung drives, including the 2TB 980 Pro here, but the company seems to have fixed the problem with a recent update.
Crucial MX500 Solid State Drive (1TB)
I wouldn’t buy a 2.5 inch SATA SSD like the Crucial MX500 for fast storage performance on a new PC, but if you’re looking to upgrade an older computer that came with a slower HDD installed by default, it can still provide a noticeable boost. The MX500 itself is the top SATA pick in our guide to the best SSDs, and right now its 1TB model is on sale for an all-time low of $52. retail about $65. If you need more space, the 2TB model has dropped to $120, while the 4TB model is available for $240. Those prices are $8 and $2 off the respective all-time lows for the two models.
apple ipad air
Apple iPad Air It’s back down to $500 on Amazon, which is $20 more than its all-time low but still about $30 below its typical asking price and $100 below Apple’s MSRP. You should see the full discount at checkout. We gave this 10.9-inch tablet a score of 90 last year and generally consider it the best iPad for most people. While it lacks the 120Hz refresh rate or high-end M2 chip of the iPad Pro, it still gives you a modern design, more than enough power, the usual 10 hours of battery life, and support for the best iPad accessories. Apple, all at a more affordable price.
Bose portable smart speaker
We highlight the aptly named Bose portable smart speaker in our guide to the best portable Bluetooth speakers, and right now the device costs $319. That’s $20 more than its all-time low, but still about $45 below its typical retail price and $80 below the Bose MSRP. While there are cheaper options out there, this wireless speaker still gives you a travel-friendly, IPX4-rated design (complete with a built-in carry handle), impressive bass for its size, AirPlay 2 functionality, and support for Alexa and the Google Assistant. . Think of it as a smaller rival to the Sonos Move. Bose also rates the speaker’s battery life at up to 12 hours, though it’ll be less if you stream regularly over WiFi.
Beats Fit Pro
Beats released a handful of new finishes for its workout-friendly Fit Pro headphones this week, and a couple of them: the “Coral pink” and “yellow volt” colorways: They’re on sale now for $170. That’s $30 off Beats’ MSRP. We’ve seen previous versions of the Fit Pro drop as low as $145, so this deal isn’t the lowest ever, but if you like the one in these colors specifically, you might save a few bucks anyway. The Fit Pro itself is the “best for workouts” pick in our guide to the best wireless headphones, and they got a review score of 87 as of late 2021. While their active noise cancellation can’t quite match what you’d get from Apple’s AirPods Pro, they pack many of the conveniences of that pair in a sportier design.
