Samsung has temporarily halted shipments of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Reminiscent of its whirlwind (and not in a good way) Galaxy Note fiasco eight years ago, the company is halting the release of the earbuds while it “urgently evaluates and improves” product quality control, according to a statement shared with Engadget and Android Authoritywhich first published the news.
Some users who received the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro ahead of their July 24 launch reported that the tips of their earbuds broke easily. Considering how often they may need to remove and replace tips to find the ideal fit, the break-prone material could have led to poor publicity and a costly recall if the company had let the launch go ahead as planned.
Samsung Website has added a new release date of August 28, though it's unclear whether this is a temporary marker or a concrete new target. Additionally, amazon's listing for the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro has been removed entirely.
“To ensure that all products meet our quality standards, we have temporarily suspended deliveries of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro devices to distribution channels to conduct a full quality control assessment before shipments are made to consumers,” Samsung’s statement read. Samsung Korea previously issued A statement apologizing for quality control issues and promising a full inspection. However, that comment made no mention of any delays.
The company added that customers who have already received the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and are experiencing issues should contact Samsung or visit a Samsung Service Center. Android Authority He also posted an email sent to a customer who placed a pre-order confirming a delay and advising them to request a cancellation if they wish.
