Tesla's Model Y will look very different from behind and inside after its rumored redesign, if new leaked photos of the “Juniper” model are to be believed. A Reddit user shared the imageswhich include a close-up of the rear of what appears to be an updated Model Y with its safety covers removed, revealing a red light bar with the word “Tesla” running across the hatch. The current model has more traditional taillights on the left and right, with a simple “T” logo in the center.
Another photo shows the car's interior, which now appears to have perforated seats for ventilation, just like the completely redesigned Model 3. as reported by Not a Tesla AppThere's also an interior ambient lighting strip that runs across the dash and doors, similar to the one inside the Chinese Model Y. However, the light strip panel in this Model Y test vehicle looks a bit glued on, and unlike the Model 3's longer light strip, it only reaches halfway up the door.

Any changes to the Tesla Model Y, a car with sales all over the world, can be off-putting: People love the current model, so Tesla needs to make sure it will still have mass appeal with a new look. It was suspected that a new Model Y would simply copy the updated Model 3’s taillights with spikes and narrow headlights. (The front end hasn’t been revealed in this leak.)
From the start, the Model 3 and Y shared many of the same components and lacked much distinction in terms of design. Now, it looks like you’ll finally be able to tell them apart at a glance, though the rest of the Model Y’s interior could end up looking similar to the Model 3’s. Hopefully, the new Model Y won’t copy the stemless driving experience of the Model 3 (and the S, x, and Cybertruck) that JD Power reported customers seem to hate.
