Game Help, which provides developer-created tips and videos to help you progress without leaving the game, has been a staple of the player experience on PlayStation 5 since its launch in 2020. Now, Sony has announced support for community gamesan expansion of the feature that allows you to view gameplay tip videos from other users on select titles.
Community Tips will be accessible in the same way as in-game Help: click the PS button, launch the Control Center, and look for an Action Card labeled “Insider Tips.” Any cards with player videos will have a Community Gaming Help tag. In addition to using these tips, Sony encourages players to rate how useful each tip is in knowing which videos will appear in the future.
You can choose to allow Sony to use clips of your gameplay as suggestions for other players. If you choose to share, Sony will automatically capture video while you play certain parts of a game. However, any streams or other personal information that appears on your screen will not be displayed in shared videos. You should also receive a notification if Sony shares your game as a track. Moderators will reportedly sort through all the videos and determine which ones should be included in the community game's help cards, although the feature won't be available for a few months.
