Peak Design may have recently started and dedicated smartphone accessories, but began as a bag manufacturer. This tradition continues to announce its first roller luggage, . This bag is appropriate to save over flights, therefore, the name, but also comes with some technology characteristics.
First, there is a hidden compartment specifically for an AIRTAG tracker. That would be very useful in the case of an erroneous identity/type of luggage exchanged as in films. It also has external gear loops to hook things like tripods. There is a protected pocket for loaders, headphones, tablets and laptops.
The Roller Pro has been designed to accommodate the newly announced XL size XL camera cube. This container fills the entire volume of the Roller Pro and contains a prime lens of 400 mm, along with other camera accessories. The company says it turns the stock market into a “mobile creative workstation for photographers in place or study.” It also eliminates the need for a dedicated camera roller.
Apart from technology, this is a luggage. To that end, the carbon fiber handle has been designed for “maximum resistance in a minimum volume.” Peak Design says that it is “significantly more rigid” than rival handles, but occupies “only one third of the volume.” This allows more packing space, which is always good. The 60 mm wheels are also curled up in the corners, further maximizing the space. The capacity can be expanded from 34l to 39L, which is ideal to accumulate last minute gifts while traveling.
It is covered with a light polycarbonate housing and the patented peak design fabric. The Roller Pro is available in a few colors and early orders begin today through Kickstarter. However, this is a maximum design product, so prepare to empty that bank account. The price varies from $ 140 to $ 600, depending on the accessories.
