Meta is consolidating its three creator monetization programs for facebook to make it easier for users to start making money on the social network. The company has three ways for creators to earn on the website: through In-stream ads, Reels ads, and performance bonuses. Each has a different eligibility requirement and registration process. facebook's new content monetization program will make things simpler for creators who want to make money on the website, as they will only have to apply and go through the onboarding process once.
In its announcement, Meta said it paid creators more than $2 billion for their Reels, videos, photos, and text posts over the past year. However, he also said that creators cannot maximize what they could earn on the platform, and only a third of them earn from more than one of their shows. The consolidated scheme will work the same as its previous programs in that it has a performance-based payment model. Monetized users can still make money from ads in their reels, longer videos, photos, and text posts. However, Meta will give them access to a new Insights tab, which shows how much money they are making on different content formats. They can also see which videos and posts make the most money. Previously, the company had separate information tabs for each program.
The new monetization feature is still in beta mode and will be until next year. This week, Meta will begin inviting 1 million creators who are already earning on the social network to participate in its beta test, but will continue to send invitations to more people in the coming months. Creators don't have to participate in the trial if they don't want to, but if they do, they can't rejoin facebook's separate monetization schemes. Those who do not receive an invitation soon but want to join the new program can express their interest through the official facebook site. facebook.com/tools/facebook-content-monetization” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank” data-ylk=”slk:content monetization page;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas” class=”link “>content monetization page.
