Meta has big ambitions for using ai to help creators, and today it showed off two impressive demos of what that could look like on the Connect stage.
One version of this involves completely recreating real influencers as ai figures. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg presented a live demo of an ai character based on a creator, which looked like the creator, spoke like the creator, and attempted to answer questions as the creator would. instagram.com/reel/DAWYFfuPqu9/”>It was pretty wild to watch..
Another tool they're developing takes Reels and automatically dubs them into another language, keeping the creator's voice and even changing their mouth movements to match.

On a larger scale, it seems like this technology has the potential to make videos reach a lot more people, which is something Meta definitely wants to do in order to better compete with platforms like TikTok and YouTube. (Speaking of YouTube, the company has also been investing in automatic dubbing.)
