Meta is reshuffling its policy team ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, with global policy chief Nick Clegg stepping down after seven years at the company. He will be replaced by Joel Kaplan, a prominent Republican and current vice president of policy at Meta.

“It has had a significant impact in promoting Meta's voice and values around the world, as well as our vision for ai and the metaverse,” Zuckerberg said in <a target="_blank" href="https://www.facebook.com/nickclegg/posts/pfbid02pYw3yki4jXbjns4ofN8XHnHL3t4CDrK8RSoxjkSjhWYfPh4yQBg3psUDNrKRtGfNl”>a response to Clegg's post. “I am excited to have Joel take on this role next given his depth of experience and knowledge in leading our policy work for many years.”
Kevin Martin, former Republican chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, will take over Kaplan's role as vice president of global policy.
