Kia officially has launched The EV4, its first electric sedan and hatchback, on the day KIA EV 2025 in Tarragona, Spain. The company first presented the EV4 as a concept in CES last year, along with several other models. Buyers can choose between the 58.3 kWh standard and the long -range battery options of 81.4 kWh, and the long -term sedan can run for 630 km (391.5 miles) with a single load. Meanwhile, the standard battery sedan can last 430 km (267 miles), while the hatchback vehicle has a range of 590 km (366.6 miles). The 150 kW engine of the vehicle can pass from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds for the standard battery variant and 7.7 seconds for the long -range variant. Both variations have a maximum speed of 170 km/h.
The EV4 models use the KEY 2.0 digital system that will allow owners to control certain functions remotely, such as being able to start vehicle engines, through an application in 15 different devices. It even works with Apple Watch. Electric vehicles come with KIA road driving assistance technology that provides the owners access to driver's care warning, ahead collision avoidance assistance, lane after assistance, intelligent speed limit assistance and remote parking assistance entry. There is also an advanced feature called package F+ that can detect dangerous situations using cameras and radars and can help drivers maneuver their vehicles to a safe place.
KIA will manufacture the EV4 sedan in Korea, where it will initially be available from March. It will produce the five -door hatchback version, destined for sale in Europe in the second half of the year, in Slovakia. The company has not yet revealed when it will begin to manufacture the EV4 for the North American market, but assured interested buyers that the vehicle is releasing in the United States.
In addition to launching the EV4, Kia has also presented the EV2 concept (in the photo below) during the event. He described the EV2 as compact and friendly with the city, with an expandable interior that has second -row folding seats. Kia plans to sell the EV2 in "Europe and other regions" from 2026.
