Instacart is presenting a new way for buyers to win money: take videos of the stores of the stores “one hall at the same time”. The new income opportunity, called Store View, will allow Instacart to determine which products are available, as well as which are exhausted.
Instacart says that Store View will also help your predictive models to estimate when a store will replenish a particular product. “If you make an order at night for the delivery at the beginning of the next day, we can predict if the article is likely to return to the shelves when the store reopens again and then verify that information in the morning,” explains Instacart.
Instacart confirmed I was testing this function earlier this year. The company will show the views of selected retailers in the coming weeks, but plans to take it to more stores in the United States and Canada for 2025.
In the future, Instacart says that their intelligent shell cars will also have the ability to track the stock. The external chamber in the cabin cars will soon give stores an “understanding of the inventory to the store level”, allowing Instacart to update stock levels as often as every hour of the day.
Together with Store View, Instacart is implementing the second verification of the store in the coming months, which instacar invoice as a way to “obtain articles out of existence from another location” of the retailer you select. If you ask for an item, but a buyer cannot find it in the store, instant will automatically ask a second buyer to verify if it is available in another store. The second buyer will deliver the article “For any additional service or delivery rate”, but it is not clear if you can give it a tip.
