A couple of years ago, Hyundai unveiled a wild electric supercar concept called the N Vision 74, designed by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiario. Now, it looks like that vehicle will enter production in some form, according to several slides on the company’s website. Investor Day Presentation.
In a slideshow Along with the unveiling, Hyundai showcased its full lineup of electric vehicles, including 21 models to be launched by 2030. Alongside affordable Casper, mass-market Hyundai and luxury Genesis brands, it revealed a high-performance electric vehicle “Hyundai N (Vision 74”) that also carries the “Genesis Magma” branding.

The next slide states that the “N inherits motorsport heritage” and adds that it is a “high-performance EV that delivers consistent driving pleasure and experience.” The Genesis luxury brand will soon include “high-end EVs” as well, and both the N and Genesis models will be based on the current Ioniq line of electric vehicles.
At the end of last year, Engine1 Hyundai was reported to be building the N Vision 74 in very limited numbers, with 70 road-going models and 30 racing models for a total of just 100, although Hyundai has refuted the rumour.
The original Vision 74 N concept promised a 62.4 kWh battery pack along with an 85 kWh hydrogen fuel cell with a 10-pound fuel tank, for a range of around 373 miles. It featured two rear electric motors generating 670 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. Hyundai appears to have dropped the hydrogen portion of the concept, as the Hyundai N (Vision 74) is described as a high-performance electric vehicle only.
If you think the Model N looks like a DeLorean, you'd be right, as Giugiario also designed that legendary 1980s supercar. The Italian designer's other notable models include the Lotus Esprit, the Maserati Quattroporte and the Nikon F3 SLR camera.
