Honda and ACURA EV owners will get access to Tesla Supercharger this summer

Sling and its luxury brand Acura They are obtaining access to more than 20,000 Tesla supercharging in North America from June for their prologue and EV ZDX. Both brands will also sell their own EV load adapters for a price not revealed through concessionaires.

The new Honda and Acura brand adapters that convert the existing CCS1 port of their vehicles in the NACS of Tesla connector have an identical design to the offer built by Lectron de Ford. But unlike Hyundai and Ford, Honda has not said that it will provide adapters for free. Without one, you can still load in some tesla supercharging stations provided they have incorporated magic dock adapters.

Honda, like any other car manufacturer, agreed last year to adopt the standardized Tesla connector for the load of EV in the United States. However, they still have to wait until Tesla turns the switch so that their vehicles are linked to the vast fast -charging network of Tesla.

The prologue of Honda and the ACURA ZDX are the only two electric vehicles between the brands at this time in the US, which are executed on the same EV platform built by GM and shared by the Chevy Blazer EV. GM EV owners already have access to the Tesla Supercharger network, along with Ford, Rivian, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Polestar.
