Google is making it easier to turn off personalized search results thanks to an option that sometimes appears at the bottom of the results page. as reported by Roundtable on search engines. After searching for something, scroll down and look for the “Try without customization” link. Click or tap that and Google will load a new page with no custom results.
The link may not be present in all searches. For me, some results include a message at the bottom of the results page that already says “Results are not personalized.” This could be user error; maybe you have other settings that prevent it from showing up or you're not using the right queries. But for some reason, I had the option to turn off personalized results much more often for searches on my iPhone than on my Mac.
You have already been able to get non-personalized search results for a long time; as Roundtable on search engines reported in 2007You can view non-personalized results by adding a parameter, “&pws=0”, to the end of a Google search URL. You can also turn off custom search in your Google Account settings.
