The ghosts of Sparta rejoice, because now you can think in peace without your smart son reminding you what a fool you are. The latest patch for the PS5 version of god of war ragnarok adds the option first seen in the PC port to tone down the child's excessive and unsolicited hints when Kratos contemplates the game's numerous puzzles. Put a sock in it, Atreus.
Game version 06.00 for PlayStation 5 add the “reduced puzzle clues” feature. While Atreus isn't the only overly useful companion in the title, he is Kratos' most frequent companion in the award-winning game, and therefore the most egregious culprit. Activating the option will remove all excessive hints from your companions throughout the game, a feature that players would have loved to have had when Ragnarok arrived two years ago.
The update also includes PS5 Pro improvements, such as a new mode that allows “Favor Quality” while keeping everything running at a smooth 60fps. The patch also allows owners of the new console to unlock the frame rate when running on variable refresh rate monitors, and Favor Performance mode is improved to match the PS5 Pro's improved specs. Finally, it adds support for PlayStation ai-powered Spectral Super Resolution as an upgrade option.
On both PS5 tiers, the update also adds a new accessibility option with audio descriptions for all of the game's cutscenes. You'll also find necessary bug fixes, including fixes for Brok getting lost in Freyr's camp store (dumb) and issues with crafting hilts.
