Unlike previous events, which focused on specific artists like Ariana Grande or Metallica, this one featured a cast of four different artists: Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice and the late Juice WRLD. And it turned every member of the big lineup into a kaiju-sized performer, while also integrating deep cuts of fortnite story and provides a preview of what's next for the game.
Things kicked off at Snoop Dogg's compound, which has been at the center of the Battle Royale map since early November. From there, he performed a gigantic version of the rapper, before taking the players into space to perform another song. In fact, the event was constantly changing: next up was Eminem, battling a giant robot after a dramatic storm, followed by Ice Spice towering over a cityscape like Godzilla. It ended on the Battle Royale island with a couple of Juice WRLD songs.
With everything wrapped up, the game was used to premiere Juice WRLD's new animated music video for “Empty Out Your Pockets,” which takes place within fortnite:
The concert not only closed out Chapter 2: Remix, but also set up the game's next main season. It's called “Hunters” and begins December 1 with new additions like Godzilla and Baymax, along with an all-new Battle Royale island. Here you have the first trailer:
