FromSoftware has confirmed the rumors that had been circulating since the beginning of this year that ancient ring is getting some great DLC. In an announcement posted on the game’s Twitter account, the Japanese developer said that an upcoming expansion titled shadow of the erdtree is currently in development. He also shared some key artwork for the expansion, but has yet to reveal details about what it will be about and when it will release.

In your company account, FromSoftware also wrote in japanese that it might take a bit of time for the company to announce more news about shadow of the erdtree. It remains to be seen how big the expansion will be and whether it will add a substantial amount of gameplay to the already vast world of older ring.
FromSoftware’s announcement comes shortly after elden ring first anniversary of release on February 25. Bandai Namco, the game’s publisher, expected to sell 4 million copies in five weeks. Instead, it sold 12 million units of the Souls-like game in a span of 18 days. ancient ring it has also won several awards since then. However, the developer has only released one DLC so far, and fans are eagerly awaiting a major update like this.
