Keene, New Hampshire – Acclaimed early learning furniture brand Whitney Brothers® announced today that its new Live Edge collection of furniture for preschool and kindergarten settings has received Interior Design magazine's 2023 Best of Year Honoree.
Now in its eighteenth year, Interior Design's Best of Year competition is the premier global design awards program recognizing the year's top interior design products and projects across a spectrum of commercial, institutional, residential, educational and contractual. In the 2023 program, Best of the Year juries evaluated 722 applications submitted by 418 manufacturers from 29 countries. The awards were announced on December 7 at a live event in New York City hosted by Interior Design editor-in-chief Cindy Allen. You can consult the complete list of winners here.
“The best thing about the year is so crazy and so exciting,” Allen said. “These are the best of the best! “There is no shortage of innovation on display.”
Jurors mentioned how the attractive design of the Live Edge collection transforms an ordinary table, chair or bench into an important factor in the look, feel and appeal of an early learning environment. Live Edge tables and seating also coordinate with all other furniture in the broader Whitney Brothers® Nature View collection, the world's first biophilia-inspired furniture collection for early learning environments.
“We are honored to once again receive this prestigious Interior Design award,” said Mike Jablonski, President of Whitney Brothers®. “This indicates a clear understanding that biophilia design is important for our youngest learners because it can increase a child's engagement with their learning environment and set the trajectory of their future positive learning outcomes. “It is another great example of the new design thinking that best distinguishes the Whitney Brothers® brand.”
