WHO: Brittney Tarr is a PreK-6 STEM specialist at Thomas Metcalf Laboratory School and a doctoral student at Illinois State University researching the development of STEM identities among elementary students and the benefits of exploratory play-based learning. In her 10 years of teaching, she has been a special education teacher, ELL teacher, and STEM specialist. Her passion lies in making STEM accessible so that all students have the power to be agents of change in their world.
