This recognition occurs as part of the initiative for review and accreditation of the IDA program, which promotes systematic evaluation and continuous improvement of educator preparation programs (EPPs). The first leg proves programs based on their ability to document alignment with the Knowledge and practice standards for reading teachers (KPS). Aspire will be eligible for reactation in 2030.

These standards cover critical areas such as the speech sound system, the writing system, the structure of the sentences, the significant components of the words, the relationships between the words and their meanings, and the organization of speech spoken and written.

Aspire is a flexible and self-feeding digital solution that helps educators apply science-based strategies that accelerate literacy skills among students in grades 4-8 in all disciplines and all levels of literacy competencies. The program, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, is designed to support all the upper primary and secondary educators, including teachers in the content area, classroom teachers, interventionists, speech pathologists and educators of English language arts. The aspire solution helps educators quickly develop the depth of the skills necessary to support students who are 'reading to learn' but have not yet dominated the fundamental reading skills necessary to learn, understand and articulate ideas in several subjects .
To qualify for accreditation, the aspirate requirements for participation, fundamental pedagogy, the curriculum, the evaluations and credentials of the author were presented for an exhaustive review. “IDA is creating awareness about the critical importance of teacher preparation in reading instruction,” Gaehde said. “And the rigor of their review means that the graduates of a IDA program may be sure that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively teach both readers with difficulties and the general student population. When teachers are better equipped to teach reading, the impact of reading difficulties, including dyslexia, can be significantly reduced. “
