ISTELive 2024 was an exciting global event that brought educators and edtech solution providers from around the world to Denver for four days in June. The conference offered best practices, advice, lively debates and discussions on edtech, and showcased dozens, if not hundreds, of new classroom tools and platforms, apps, and hardware.

However, here are some of the new education-related equipment, software, apps, tools, updates, and more that were unveiled during ISTELive this year.

Avantis Education | Eduverse360 VR Class
Eduverse360 is an expanded library for ClassVR that includes over 300,000 stunning 360° images and videos from around the world, allowing teachers to take students on engaging and immersive field trips without leaving the classroom. In response to the growing demand for curriculum-aligned content across all subjects, new math resources have been designed to make learning relevant, accessible, and fun. Popular English resources have been expanded to support English language instruction from kindergarten through second grade and English as an additional language.

PowerBuddy for Data Analysis acts as a co-pilot for data analysis by enabling users to effortlessly access data through natural language conversation, reducing the time it takes to respond to data requests by eliminating query typing, automating data visualizations, and producing detailed data analysis.
Questionnaire | Accommodation profiles
Accommodation Profiles is a first-of-its-kind tool that enables differentiation at scale for educators and school districts. Educators can now use it to meet the wide range of student learning needs faster and easier than ever before, while ensuring their lessons are accessible and IEP and 504 compliant. It incorporates critical student accommodations on Quizizz content in just a few clicks with features like: read aloud; extended time; narrowing answer options; allowing multiple attempts; and a dyslexia font.
Samsung | ai Classroom Assistant
Launching in May 2024, the WAD interactive display series will now offer generative ai capabilities through Samsung’s ai Classroom Assistant to help educators save time and focus on guiding students on their learning journeys. Samsung’s ai Classroom Assistant offers features such as automatic transcriptions and generative summaries of spoken lessons. It will also analyze transcripts and classroom materials to create instant quizzes for students to demonstrate their understanding as they learn.
Second Avenue Learning + U.S. Patent and Trademark Office | Equip Headquarters YouTube Series
Second Avenue Learning and the United States Patent and Trademark Office are expanding intellectual property and patent education offerings with a new, free YouTube series and interactive storybook to support EquIP HQ, a free educational resource on inventions and a contracted effort of Second Avenue Learning. The video series and interactive storybook continue EquIP HQ’s mission to reach as many students as possible, especially those who may be underrepresented or disadvantaged, so they can improve today’s modern inventions through their unique perspectives and ideas.
Sphere | BOLT+
The Sphero BOLT+ programmable robot offers the best experiential learning in the classroom and is compatible with beginner to advanced coders. It features a suite of programmable sensors and motors, a vivid LCD display, and endless learning opportunities. Sphero also features the new Blueprint Engineering Kit and Class Packs, which include electrical and mechanical engineering components and an interactive storytelling code mat with literacy cards.
Toyish Laboratories | Clixo Online Classroom Portal
The Clixo Classroom online portal is the next phase of the award-winning Clixo toy line. In this new portal, teachers and educators across the United States can access resources, free lesson plans, video challenges, and activity guides on how to incorporate Clixo into fun and educational classroom activities. The portal is part of the new Clixo Classroom initiative, which includes the recently launched Clixo Classroom Bundle.
Umetá | Educational content package
Umety’s new content pack is designed to work seamlessly across multiple devices, including interactive flat panels, VR headsets, laptops, and tablets/mobile phones. This multi-device support ensures that educators can create and deliver engaging, immersive, and accessible VR and AR lessons for students of all ages, regardless of the technology available in their classrooms.
