The Indian River School District in Vero Beach, FL, faced the challenge of engaging students in hands-on, interactive learning. “The combination of Robo and MyStemKits adds to our curriculum,” said Mikey Marini, gifted teacher at the elementary school. In his class, students studied animal adaptations by printing bird beaks with connectors. “Students could actually hold them and try them,” Marini said.
Valery Sommers, a high school English teacher, discovered the magic of 3D printing. Her students chose a book, explained its importance, and designed a 3D model of a symbol from history. Valery shared: “Last year was the year I had the most fun teaching thanks to the 3D printer.” The classroom was bustling with creativity and pride.
