Template Tab is a plugin for Google Sheets that I created so that all students use the same spreadsheet. I have now added a menu to allow the TemplateTab to be used in Spanish. Add a list of student names to the first tab of a Google Sheets spreadsheet. On the second tab, design a graphic organizer that each student will complete. Run TemplateTab from the Extensions menu to duplicate the graphic organizer for each student within the spreadsheet. Share the spreadsheet with students with edit access so they can locate the tab with their name.

If you speak Spanish and want to use Template Tabfirst install the plugin in the Extensions menu. Select TemplateTab and choose “Show Spanish.”
Setting
In the sidebar, click the settings sheet. This will add a leaf in the first position for you to list your class names.
first sheet
The first row of the spreadsheet is for the headers. Paste the list of your students’ names starting on the second row.
Template
The second sheet of the worksheet is for the template that students will complete. Design a graphic organizer.
Run TemplateTab
Use the TemplateTab sidebar to run TemplateTab to duplicate the template on the second sheet for each student in the list.
Share
Share the spreadsheet with students. They will need edit access. You can do this in Google Classroom with the middle option. Alternatively, click the Share button on the spreadsheet and set it up so that anyone with the link can edit.
Students will find their name on a tab on the worksheet and complete that graphic organizer.
Since all the students are on the same worksheet, plan to have a class discussion and peer review of the students’ work.
