It has latest generation computer devices, professional learning experiences and community resources. These schools are working to equip educators and students with essential skills to take advantage of the power of ai in an increasingly modern technological world.
Although state, federal, district and school policies to use the safe and ethical ai are important, educators will boost the implementation of ai technologies in the classroom. Educators bring humanity, the construction of relationships and a nuanced understanding of the students' needs, which allows them to create powerful learning experiences that foster curiosity.
In Anaheim High SchoolTeachers are exploring how ai can improve and further support pedagogy, from ideas to create attractive lessons plans to increase efficiency and time dedicated to tasks and more. These educators are using ai as a tool and as a partner of thought in teaching, which helps to create more opportunities to lie and cultivate significant connections with their students.
In December 2024 “What are you doing with ai in 2025?“LinkedIn Live Panel, Anaheim's educator, Lex Vargas, shared:” ai is a tool to lighten the load so that teachers can focus on the most important things in education, such as building relationships with their students. “Lex explores ai in his own practice of his classroom as a physics teacher with advanced simulations that create moments of dynamic learning for students in a more timely way.
Companion educator Bill Johnson added: “IA causes conversations and ideas that lead to creative and attractive performance tasks, which provide emotion and energy to the classroom.” He had a collaboration with a colleague to develop an innovative lesson plan between curricular. While they were making a rain of ideas, they used an ai tool to explore ways to combine physics and history. In Anaheim High School, both students and teachers are exploring ai. In the White Paper of the Digital Promise Access to powerful technology as a catalyst for the commitment of the professional careerThe 12th grade student Andrew shared the importance of the HP learning study to provide access to technology for students who could not have similar resources at home. “Being able to have an open laboratory and we have easy access is crucial … it will allow them to explore different races that perhaps they were not considering before.”
Similarly, Vargas, a physics teacher, shared how simulations with ai and high performance tools provided by the learning study allowed their students to participate in complex and practical projects that were previously unattainable due to hardware limitations. Teachers such as Pat Barba also noticed how the integration of ai and professional grade technologies caused the most relevant lessons, which gives students the tools to connect their learning with career opportunities in the real world.
Schools are redefining how education prepares students for success in a world driven by ai. Through continuous innovation and leadership of the educator, HP ai Spotlight schools are training both students and educators to use the technology potential in a significant and ethical way. By incorporating laboratories equipped with high computing machines and through teachers' facilitation, students continue to develop skills ready for the future, such as adaptability, collaboration, innovation and computational thinking. Computational thinkingAn important framework to understand and use ai, is a fundamental part of the approach, which allows students to address multifaceted problems and transform them into manageable parts.
