Fourteen years after shutting down Google Notebook, Google is getting back into the online laptop business with a new tool called notebookLM.
NotebookLM is a new product that uses AI to generate summaries, questions, and insights from the Google Docs you add to your notebook. It is a beta product that has a waiting list. I have signed up for the waiting list and you can do the same right here.

Google announced NotebookLM earlier this week. Based on what I read in their press release and a couple of previews I saw floating around on social media, NotebookLM is an expansion on some of the AI features that are already being added to Google Docs. It looks like NotebookLM will take those features a step further by creating summaries, questions, and insights across all the documents you add to a section of your notebook instead of just one document at a time.
