I have made some updates to my plugin document to slides. Mainly cosmetic, I’ve made the sidebar look prettier. However, I have now also added a button to the sidebar to link to the Google Slides that are created. This is very useful if you don’t have pop-up windows enabled in your browser. This plugin does NOT collect USER DATA! It takes your paragraphs from Google Docs and turns them into a Google Slides presentation.

Google Docs Add-on
In ALL your Google Docs, you can go to the Extensions menu and find the “Doc to Slides” option. This will turn any of your Google Docs into Google Slides… like magic. TRY IT, it’s fun! It’s almost instant for shorter documents of just a couple of pages. Longer documents may take up to a minute.
Show the sidebar to show different options for how you will send the text of your Google Doc to Google Slides. The default option sends the text to a section header. This is larger text and is centered on the slide.
Use the Tools menu and the “Theme Builder” to modify the size and style of the font in the Slideshow.
There is also an option to add the smaller text at the bottom left. Perfect for “Slide List” to assign each student a slide with their name on it. Just paste your class roster into a Google document with each student’s name on a different line. Press “Assign a Slide” and a new Google Slide will be created for you.
Alternatively, you can put the text in the speaker notes. This allows you to formulate your ideas and the flow of the presentation and make sure that his presentation doesn’t have too many words on the slide.
Add to slides you already own
If you already have Google Slides and want to add additional content to the slides, you can paste the link in the sidebar box. If you have edit access to those slides, Doc to Slides will add the additional content to your current presentation.
New Feature: View Slides Button
Previously, you needed pop-ups to be enabled so you could easily view your created Google Slides. Slides have always been located in Google Drive, but it may appear that nothing happened if you didn’t allow pop-ups. Now, in addition to the popup slides that appear in another tab, a sidebar is created with a button that links you to the slideshow.
