The ai market is growing every day, with more tools and programs that are being developed and added to the space to address some problems or obstacles it can face. However, most of the conversation about ai tools deals with educational tools in the classroom. How can they help the tools to make some of the most mundane administrative tasks less intrusive to return more time to educators during (and outside) the school day?
Here we talk to Santi Khairassame, founder and CEO of Project Regesss, about how Critical eye .
<h2 id="understanding-what-ai -actually-does-3″>Understand what ai really does
While many existing tools already claim some type of functionality of ai , having a critical perspective of anyone that adopts can greatly contribute to finding what you need and protecting themselves from unwanted results. As Khairassame says, the proliferation of ai tools has been a two -way street.
“One of the things we want people from leaving is trying to be as sure as possible when they use these tools,” says Khairassame. “You really have to think as a teacher, think as an educator. Be critical. Even now, more than ever, the idea of looking at things through a critical lens is very important because erroneous information can extend so fast, especially with these tools. It is a double -edged sword. “
Consequently, one of the best ways to protect yourself, school or district, students and colleagues is simply to educate yourself better about the technology that you intend to use.
<h2 id="the-human-side-of-ai -3″>The human side of ai
The idea that the ai gave time to teachers and administrators during their days is a wonderful concept. But there is a real concern about the ai that takes care to the extent that the work loses the human aspect.
“One thing we really wanted to emphasize is not to forget that we are human beings,” says Khairassame. “We all have a voice. Our schools … have a mission, whether the arts or stem or whatever. We are trying to remind people that yes, these things can write text for you, but don't forget your own voice. Do not forget who you are and what your school represents. (It is) very important to ensure that your voice is heard and not sterile. Stay in the loop. Keep humans in the loop. “
ai can help answer questions, rainy ideas and place it on the right path with your thoughts, but make sure your voice and tone are present is as important as it is efficiently.

At this point, ai is everywhere, and if you want to effectively improve your school or district with ai tools, there are some things you can do for that to happen.
“There is a new ai tool every week,” says Khairassame. “I recommend that people remember that they can go to the source, which means that many of these tools that are available are wrapped wrapped around these existing large language models that exist, such as Chatgpt. “
It can be very easy to deviate from new bright technologies when looking for a solution, so remember that many ai tools offer a solution that can be found in the tools you can already have.
“For example, in New York City, it is approved to use Microsoft Copilot,” says Khairassame. “I tell people to go directly to that. Whatever you can do with (another) tool, most likely, you can do it in co -pilot. I could even have a better result. “
In terms of what types of ai tools to try, begin with those that have already been examined.
“Use what your district has approved,” says Kharessame. “Because it will generally be one of these largest and most recognized companies. You do not have to pay an additional subscription. You have access to it. “
Finally, know what problem is looking to solve when it comes to what type of tool of ai wishes to add to your educational space. Doing research, recognizing a specific obstacle and linking that obstacle with an ai solution can simplify your search. You may already have that tool available to you, saving each other even more work.
