USA edtech has come to BETT 2025 this year to showcase the best educational technology the United States has to offer.
While many countries have government-backed stances on BETT, the United States has yet to explore this. Sensing that need, Jim McVety has worked with educational software and tools providers to create his own. The result is a one-stop show for all things educational technology.
Consequently, anyone in the United States who wants to expand internationally now has an opportunity. It also means that those from other countries have the opportunity to connect and get involved in the US market as well.
This year we sat down with Jim and the team to learn about some of the best edtech tools that will be showcased at BETT 2025.

BETT members this year include: Content2Classroom, ClassLink, Authentica, EdGate, Boclips, Zoe, Slooh and MakeDo.
Here is more information about some who were able to share time with us this year.
Slot
Slooh is a US-based technology platform that spans the globe to provide stargazing opportunities to students. This exciting offering allows teachers and students the opportunity to take control of powerful telescopes, spread around the world, to observe objects in the depths of space.
Imagine taking a class anywhere in the sky, be it a planet or an astral body, and you can see it… live – with just a few clicks. This is what Slooh has achieved and now offers with games and quests that help educate both students and teachers.
Zoe
Zoe is a virtual reality tool that allows teachers to create their own worlds. That may mean science teachers creating custom experiments that students can interact with in virtual reality.
It is designed to be easy to use and offers a variety of options so it can be applied to many different teaching scenarios. No coding experience is necessary as it is an icon-based system that anyone can easily use.
The community shares content so that other use cases can be edited to meet the needs of that teacher and class. Even students can use this to build virtual worlds.
EdGate
EdGate offers publishers a way to create custom educational elements with a central taxonomy that can be a quick and easy way to find, create and share resources.
Crucially, this works internationally so that publishers can adapt their current content to different markets around the world.
This represents a way to leverage broad concepts, such as dividing fractions, scientific methods, and more, but tailored to the learning standards of that area, school, or subject.
boclips
Boclips offers more than 2.2 million videos designed specifically for use in education. While that in itself is very powerful, it also leverages ai to make searching for specific results easier and more effective.
This is so clever that it will even split clips into specific areas. So, for example, you might be teaching about a certain scientific process and this will pull out the snippet relevant to that, rather than showing students the full video.
These curated videos align with many standards, including Common Core, NGSS, CBSE, and more, across curricula such as ELA, Science, and Math.
No ads, easy sharing within the LMS, and algorithmic recommendations are just some of the positives this powerful tool offers.
