A new year brings emotion and plans to improve teaching and learning. And this new beginning can be a good time to learn new emerging skills or nourish. With the influx of new technologies and the infusted ai in many of the edtech tools that we have come to enjoy in our work as educators, it may be useful to participate in self -directed professional learning opportunities.
Many of the widely available edtech tools offer free training. Some are specific to a larger tool function, while others provide general guidance on key characteristics and uses. In addition, at the end and, depending on the tool, you can obtain a certificate of completion, certification, badge, microcredial or some other recognition of its competence won to your curriculum or CV.
Here I share six of the main free edtech credentials (in alphabetical order) available:
The Adobe Creative Educator (ACE) level training focuses on understanding creativity and how Nourish creativity in students . To register, you must join Adobe's exchange of education, which is free and provides additional resources to use. You can register using your personal or school email address. And, if you use a verified email address of the K-12 school, you can get access to Adobe Express for free education. After completing, you get a digital badge and a certificate.
Apple's teacher program builds fundamental skills using iPad and Mac devices and Apple applications within the integration of academic lessons. Twelve badges in total are available to win; 6 For iPad and 6 for Mac. Apple applications, including pages, key note, numbers, imovie and garage, are covered. If your school uses Apple devices, it can be worth deepening in some of the less used Apple applications. You can continue and develop a Apple Teachers Portfolio showing their ability to build lessons that allow their students to activate, explore and apply learning.
The training of certified authors of Book Creator provides educators instructions on the various characteristics of Book Creator, preparing them to use it in their own classrooms. Offers for Edpuzzle certification are quite complete, and 20 badges can be obtained.
