Nintendo has just celebrated a live broadcast to leave more details about the next Switch 2nd console. In the end, he revealed a new 3D platform game starring Donkey Kong. This is the first game of its kind since Kong 64 donkey The Nintendo 64 hits all the way in 1999. It is called Kong Bananza donkey And it is released exclusively for the Switch 2 on July 17, which is just over a month after the console reaches the store shelves.
You look great! Much of the environment is destructible, so DK can enter and break things. It also presents sesscroling segments, something like how modern Mario 3D platforms are submerged in its 2D roots from time to time. We have to try it in our practice with Switch 2, and although it looks fabulous, it also feels like the type of game that would have been great in the original switch. With Nintendo stylized graphics for titles like this, the impact of switch 2 updates does not reach the same way that could in other games. That is not a great blow, but something to take into account.
Everything has a funky and cartoon atmosphere that one would expect from our favorite gorilla. However, I did not listen to the Famous donkey rap during the trailer but the equally iconic "ooh banana" sound effect DK64 It makes a brief cameo.
The trailer shows DK going up the sides of the mountains (obtaining his OTW-The link on) and make several places again. These include a forest and an ice region, among others. The footage also shows the most bad kong I have seen.
We do not know too much about this game beyond what the trailer shows, but we don't have so much time to wait. One more time, Kong Bananza donkey He leaves on July 17.
Update: April 3, 2025, 10:10 am et: Updated with some impressions of our practical demonstration Switch 2.
