The weeklong drag racing marathon Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 wrapped up in the early hours of Sunday morning and organizers say it managed to raise a total of $2,556,305 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
As expected, the event in Pittsburgh brought a good mix of skill and silliness: there was a crazy taxi speedrun with a live band; FunkopotamusWes played the piano during his music career. New Super Mario Bros Wiiusing your head and feet to control the game using motion controls; and Dr. Doot made a Elden Ring The bosses run at full speed using an electric saxophone. Yes, the saxophone did little dot dot it rings all the time.

AGDQ is one of several charity events Games Done Quick puts on each year, and next year, Back to black It's coming up in February. Highlighting Black hosts and sprinters, that event (Feb. 6-9) will raise money for the racial justice nonprofit Race Forward. Over the years, Games Done Quick has raised more than $54 million for various charities, including the Prevent Cancer Foundation and Doctors Without Borders. AGDQ also raised about $2.5 million during its marathon last year.
