Apple some new tools for its Apple Business Connect program that could be useful to the everyday consumer. The most notable update is the introduction of Business Caller ID. When this feature launches next year, businesses of any size will be able to sign up to have their name, logo, and department appear when communicating with customers. In practice, this can help people distinguish between a phone call from a legitimate company and spam.
Apple Business Connect allows businesses to have more control over how they appear in different applications in the Apple ecosystem. In 2023, Apple companies will personalize their listings in Maps, Messages, Siri and Wallet. Today's updates make Business Connect branded tools available to any business, including those without a physical location. In addition to the eventual launch of Business Caller ID, the program also adds branding information within the mail and phone applications. Participating businesses can also add their logo to the contactless payments feature.
