In the endless list of possible uses of ai, “getting selfie tips from a Kylie Jenner voice clone” seems both completely far-fetched and pretty inevitable. Yes it existsIt's not a widely available app, at least not yet; it's an experiment by the artist and programmer. Dry deporter.
With access to a couple of APIs from OpenAI and ElevenLabs, and a little knowledge of Python, You too can improve your selfie gameThe app will take a photo via your webcam and then send it to ChatGPT with a message asking for a fun tip in Ms. Jenner’s voice. The resulting text is then passed to an ElevenLabs voice clone of the selfie expert and the tip appears:
“Okay, I love the spontaneous look, but let’s add some drama. Turn towards the light, take off your headphones, and think about mysterious things to make it more interesting, because lighting is everything, babe.”
We spoke to Depoorter about how he creates his work, how he thinks about the future of ai, and how he responds to people who see his art and want to turn it into commerce. It's an interesting conversation, so check it out above. To see all of Dries' work, Go to your wallet.
