Amazon has yet to release a public trailer for its long-awaited Fall series, but at least now we know when it will hit our television screens. The streaming giant has revealed that Fall – a live-action adaptation of Bethesda’s popular RPG video game franchise – will premiere on April 12, 2024, exclusively on Prime Video.
The announcement was made on October 23, also known as Fall fans like “Fallout Day”, the date in the game that marks the beginning of the Great War that turns the world into an irradiated nuclear wasteland. Bethesda executive producer and game director Todd Howard is executive producing the series, which stars Ella Purnell (yellow jackets), Walton Goggins (the hateful eight), Aaron Moten (Emancipation), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), Kyle MacLachlan (twin peaks), and Sarita Choudhury (Homeland).
In addition to the announcement of the premiere itself (which was hilariously presented as an interactive graphic of Pip-Boy’s interface), Amazon said in a press release that the show will be an original story set in a post-apocalyptic future version of Los Angeles and will be considered a canonical addition to the existing game franchise. We currently don’t know how many episodes there will be in the series or what the release schedule will be after the premiere.
